Boilers (Advanced)
📍 Distance from Wave Chaser: ~30 minutes drive
Boilers is a legendary wave that rewards only the most seasoned surfers. Located near the iconic Cap Ghir lighthouse, this right-hand reef break is known for its powerful, barreling waves that peel over a shallow, rocky seabed. The name “Boilers” comes from the remains of a shipwrecked boiler that still rests offshore, adding to the mystique of this spot.
Riding Boilers requires skill and confidence, as the takeoff is steep, the waves break fast, and the rocky reef below leaves little room for error. Entry and exit points are tricky, with jagged rocks and sea urchins lurking beneath the surface, making booties a smart choice. Offshore winds from the nearby cliffs create picture-perfect barrels, making this one of the most photogenic spots in the region. When the swell is big, Boilers can be a dream come true for advanced surfers who crave adrenaline-packed rides.
Boilers is where you test your limits. If you’re not fully committed, the wave will remind you why only the best come here.
